Site and handling conditions

hydraulic scissor dock lift

A hydraulic scissor dock lift brief changes with dock height, pit depth, trailer mix and available power, not with a generic industry label. Write the building constraint that actually moves the specification. Hydraulic Dock Lift Sourcing uses those constraints to ask factories for the same written line. We do not claim we have already surveyed your dock.

Distribution docks with mixed trailers

Inbound trailers often arrive at different bed heights. Record the lowest and highest dock height you expect, plus whether a pallet jack or a sit-down truck will cross the deck. Rated capacity without that crossing equipment is a nameplate number, not an application load. Duty cycle belongs next to lift height so a few daily lifts are not priced as continuous yard work.

Grade-level receiving without a raised dock

Some US warehouses receive at grade and use a hydraulic scissor dock lift instead of a pit-mounted leveler. Lowered height, travel and slab capacity then become the first RFQ fields. Pit work may be absent, but anchors, electrical and commissioning still need a yes or no on each factory line. A cheaper reply that omitted packing is not a lower total.

Sealed or food-grade outbound bays

Sealers, shelters and wash-down rules change enclosure and hydraulic hose protection. Those are site constraints, not optional footnotes. Keep pit work, new concrete and commissioning as named extras unless the RFQ pulls them into factory scope. Public selection notes such as published dock-leveler geometry pages are reference information, not a promise from this desk.

Plant outbound with attachments

If an attachment changes the load center, write that change on the RFQ instead of asking factories to guess from a photo. Three-phase supply is not assumed; voltage, phase and frequency must sit beside the power unit. Continue on Duty Class Guide when the remaining choice is a substitute rating.

Nameplate versus application load

Checks that belong on a hydraulic scissor dock lift RFQ
Check Write on the RFQ Why two quotes diverge
Rated capacity lb or kg at a stated load center Bare nameplate hides axle crossing
Dock height in or mm at the threshold Trailer mix changes travel
Pit depth in or mm if a pit exists Substitute decks miss the pocket
Power V, phase, Hz or shop air Shop circuit limits the unit

Put the handling condition on the RFQ with quantity and destination. We will not invent a savings rate against an unnamed market price.
